General Information

HI Snowmobile 2 Web 98.JPG (56166 bytes) The Horizon Inn is conveniently located at the end of Feeder F-2 to 100 on the VAST trail system in Southern Vermont.  Yes you can ride right from your room to restaurants, gas stations, and most importantly, to some of the greatest views in New England.

If speed is your ticket then these local trails are not for you.  95% of the local trails surrounding the Horizon Inn are local property owners giving VAST permission to use their land at no financial benefit to them.   These trails are mountainous and winding, not allowing for high safe speed (>40 mph).  However, if you really need the wide open, then you can either ride or trailer your sleds to the Woodford Trail system, in the State Forest (15 minutes by car).  There is a curfew at the Inn at 10:00PM and some trails close at 9:00PM. This again in courtesy for the landowners.  There is no curfew in Woodford State Park.

The riding is always good, as long as mother nature cooperates.  I assist in grooming the trails close to the Inn.  Our feeder F-2 leading to 100A  is always the best part of the ride.

Come up and experience family riding in Vermont
